Just check out this link, very interesting results from overseas imagers. Not often I get to see the same object with different imaging devices. Shevill

I have posted an Image of M82...Cigar Galaxy
Taken with a Canon DSLR. (100)short exposures(30 seconds).
It is composed with about 100 30 second images processed mainly in IP,PS7 and Gradient X.

And this is what the Orion Starshoot can do with 10/30sec and a couple 60sec,
scope in Alt/Az mode.

This is my next challenge with my DSLR's when the dark nights return.

So that looks like the Orion Star Shoot is much more powerful than the DLSR?

The Star Shoot was used with a 16" f/4.5, do not know what the DSLR was used with, less than 16" I think. Notice that the Star Shoot, with its smaller chip only covers a very small field. Pro's & con's for both systems. To get the same size cooled CCD as a DSLR is many thousands of dollars compared to just over 1K for a DSLR. Mmmmm!

Clear skies...
