It was a scorcher last night in Perth, reached 44c during the day with plenty of bushfire's happening around the city. Wasn't expecting much but picked up a little bit more detail then I have been getting which was strange considering the conditions, while setting up my scope the warmth coming from the tube and other bits was a worry.

It is amazing that any detail can be gotten from this object. I see it hanging in the sky each night, just a little dot in the sky. Great work.

Cheers  Pat setup was the C9.25 with the DBK camera using a 3x barlow and I used a 50mm extension tube for the first time for a little bit more amplification. Conditions where pretty uncomfortable and my enthusiasm was down a bit and I packed it in even before mars crossed the meridian :itsme!:
