This is one of last night's images taken from Mt Canopus. Quite a spectacular sight. Also some general shots from Mt Canopus observatory site. The Smokey sunset in itself produced some nice pictorial shots. The equipment consisted of left to right: Nikon D100 with 80-200 f/2.8 zoom, Canon 350D with 70 to 300 zoom, William Optics Megrez 90 APO with Nikon D200 attached. I learnt a long time ago, always take more than one camera to a one-off event, if you have them of course. Electronic cameras rely on complex electronics, which can fail!
