Doh I think Channel nine may of been first to broadcast because of the Olympic games in 56 ? second go Brian Henderson? :duh: Bruce Gyngell ?

Alright another go,it seems Bruce Gyngell was the first person seen on AU tv but John Godson was heard first introducing the telecast......16thSept 1956

Dont know if this is right there were test broadcasts before this date to

Hmmm, nice answers. I'll be handing out the big lollipop tomorrow I think but ,in the meantime, while youse (my next door neighbour talks like that) are in this melancholy mood of retrospectivity, and just to make it interesting , who's was the first FACE seen on Australian Television?

Think carefully how this question is framed.
